Why Manchester United MUST Sack Jose Mourinho
1. There Are Better Managers Available
The worst excuse for keeping Mourinho as Manchester United manager is the cry that there’s nobody better who is available. That’s bulls**t.
Zinedine Zidane, Leonardo Jardim and Laurent Blanc are all attack-minded managers who promote youth, have won trophies and are out of a job. Not only that, but Blanc is a former Manchester United player who has a much better understanding of the club’s proud history and traditions.
There’s not even much success for a new manager to exceed. Sure, Mourinho won a tinpot with slightly more prestige than the Carabao Cup, but in his first season he finished sixth, then he finished second having never really challenged Man City for the title and he lost an FA Cup final to his archnemesis Antonio Conte.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are reported to be looking for new managers to take over due to poor form, so Manchester United need to quickly make the right decision so they’re not left red-faced and stuck with Mourinho. However, the board should not sack the Portuguese only to swiftly hire another defensive Chelsea reject in Conte.
