This is a monumental week for Wigan Athletic. They could finally climb out of the relegation zone on goal difference tonight, and have an FA Cup Final against Manchester City to look forward too on Saturday. Victory against Roberto Mancini's side would earn the Latics the first piece of silverware in their history, but a win here tonight coupled with Premier League survival is worth its weight in silver, according to manager Roberto Martinez. "If we stay up, it would be like winning the title," said the Spaniard, who is hoping that last Saturday's heroics over West Brom will provide his side with all the momentum they need to come through tonight's fixture with Swansea unscathed. This may be as good a time as any to play Michael Laudrup's side. Wigan have never beaten Swansea in the Premier League but the Swans will be without star striker Michu, which will be buoyant for Martinez' struggling side. But Swansea will still be up for this game and are still chasing a top ten finish. Laudrup believes one more win would seal a finish in the top half of the table.
He said: "I have to be pleased. One more win should now see us finish in the top half and that would be a fantastic achievement."
