Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic also misses out on next summer's tournament, despite helping to marshal Serbia to a mean defensive record of just six goals conceded in qualifying. Ivanovic has enjoyed plenty of highs in his career, including winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League with the Blues, but his country's inability to reach the World Cup finals will be considered a career low after they were pipped to the Group A play-off place by local rivals Croatia.
