World Cup 2018: 10 Players Who Don't Deserve To Be Going Home

2. Ahmed Musa

Plenty of the teams left in the tournament would be happy to have Nigeria's Ahmed Musa among their ranks. The Leicester man has never been a prolific goalscorer for Nigeria, but had a really solid World Cup in Russia.

He didn't start the first group game against Croatia, but was selected in the first eleven for the African nation's clash with Iceland. It was an important game against a defensively resolute side, but Musa performed fantastically, earning a well-deserved Man of the Match award after a two-goal salvo.

The quality of his goals really stood out. For the first, he took down a cross with astonishing ease and smashed it on the half-volley past the keeper, while the second began with a superb individual run, culminating in a clever dribble around the goalie and a nice finish past the defender on the line. Despite his best efforts, Musa couldn't replicate his goalscoring efforts against Argentina in the final game, but he had a solid tournament overall and finished up as Nigeria's top scorer.
