Doctor Who Series 2 Cast: Where Are They Now?
1. David Tennant
When Christopher Eccleston announced he was leaving Doctor Who after just one series, fans wondered if his replacement would be able to continue the revived show’s momentum.
Safe to say he did ok.
David Tennant’s stint as the Tenth Doctor turned him into a national treasure, and he remains firmly in the conversation around the best actors to play the part.
Since leaving the show in early 2010, he’s starred as grouchy detective Alec Hardy in Broadchurch, written by future Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall; Kilgrave, the twisted main villain in Marvel’s Jessica Jones Netflix series; Crowley, a wickedly funny demon in the Amazon series Good Omens; and, his greatest part to date, Scrooge McDuck in Ducktales.
That’s the dream right there.
He's showed some incredible range too, recently playing serial killer Dennis Nilsen in the miniseries Des, and Russian defector Alexander Litvinenko in the drama of the same name.
Oh, and there's also the whole Fourteenth Doctor thing, but you knew about that, didn't you?
His many other roles are far too numerous to list, and he'll next be seen hosting brand-new game show Genius Game for ITV. It's highly likely that Tennant is actually a Time Lord with the amount of work he manages to get done!
