1. Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHIhsLhQ-q8 Alias: Money Division: Light Middleweight / Welterweight Age: 36 Country: USA Record: 45-0 (26 KOs) Titles: WBA (Super) & WBC Light Middleweight World Champion / WBC Welterweight World Champion 'Pretty Boy' Floyd a.k.a. 'Money' Mayweather is the hottest property in world boxing today, the highest paid sportsman in the world and the number one fighter pound for pound on the planet, with an undefeated streak stretching his whole professional career of 45 fights. Mexican commodity Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez was supposed to be the man to end the streak back in September of last year, but he didn't even run him close. Mayweather put on a boxing masterclass, Money is not a defensive master, he's the defensive master. He was also landing straight right hands at will due to his excellent speed, accuracy and timing. The fight concluded with a majority decision win for Mayweather; Judge CJ Ross scored the fight a draw much to the bemusement of the 19,000+ in attendance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and the 2.5m watching on PPV. Luckily, for the credibility of the sport, the other two judges scored the fight for Mayweather. After winning WBC titles at super featherweight, lightweight and light welterweight, Mayweather stepped up to welterweight in 2006 to capture Zab Judah's IBF crown, via a unanimous decision. He then added the WBC welterweight title to his collection with a near-shutout defeat of Carlos Baldomir later that year. A colossal showdown with Oscar De La Hoya in May 2007, which amassed a record breaking 2.7m PPV buys, saw Mayweather claim a close split decision win and the WBC light middleweight title - the fifth weight class in which Mayweather has won world titles. This was the beginning of Mayweather's journey as the PPV king and the evolution from 'Pretty Boy' Floyd to 'Money' Mayweather. A tenth round knockout of Ricky Hatton in a defence of the WBC welterweight title later that year was followed by 21 month long retirement. He returned to the ring in a non title contest against Juan Manuel Marquez, a fight in which dropped Marquez in the 2nd round on his way to a heavy points win. 'Sugar' Shane Mosley was his next victim in May 2011, winning nearly every round of the fight before another hiatus from the ring, this time for 16 months. Upon his return, he re-captured the WBC welterweight title from then-champion Victor Ortiz, knocking his compatriot out in the fourth stanza. It was May 2012 in which people questioned Mayweather's standing at the top of the boxing tree, as Miguel Cotto caused 'Money' problems during their WBA light middleweight title contest. Mayweather still came away with a unanimous decision, but people were wondering if he was slowing down due to some of the punishment he took in the fight from Cotto. He returned a year later to put those doubts to bed, with a majestic performance against Robert Guerrero in a defence of his WBC welterweight title, earning yet another unanimous decision win. Four months came the aforementioned win over Alvarez. His next opponent, on May 3, will likely be either former light welterweight world champion Amir Khan or reigning WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana.
