No player has disappointed so much for Madrid in recent times as Brazilian playmaker, Kaka.

Madrid splashed out mega money on the one-time FIFA World Player of the Year back in 2009 after three stunning seasons in Italy with AC Milan.

His form for the Rossineri had led the Italian giants to Champions League finals and league titles, while he'd also shown superb form for Brazil in the 2006 World Cup and 2009 Confederations Cup.

Unfortunately for Kaka, he failed to get anywhere near the sort of form he had shown for Milan as he struggled to settle in Madrid, where he suffered with various injuries.

The added signing of Cristiano Ronaldo - who immediately hit the ground running in Madrid - didn't exactly help Kaka's cause as he was being constantly compared to the Portuguese star.

It was such a massive shame for Kaka that wasn't able to transfer his form from Serie A into La Liga, and despite a handful of decent performances in Madrid he wasn't anywhere near his best.

He only managed just over 80 appearances in four seasons with the club before eventually sealing a move back to the San Siro.
