There are some real frauds on this list who have enjoyed far more success than their talent ever merited, but nobody has stolen a living quite like Djimi Traore did at Liverpool. The former Mali international is one of the worst players in the club's history, and frequently comes out on top when discussion about that topic occurs between fans. Traore was gangly and awkward in possession, poor defensively, lacking intelligence and basically looked terrified every time he wore a Reds shirt. Despite this, he was something of a regular during the 2004/05 season, making 42 appearances in all competitions. The left-back often had the likes of Sami Hyypia, Jamie Carragher and Steve Finnan alongside him, however, which helped mask many of his countless flaws. With John Arne Riise often deployed on the left of midfield during Liverpool's amazing Champions League run, Traore often slotted into the Norwegian's natural position. In the unforgettable final against Milan, it was Traore's reckless early challenge on Kaka that led to Paolo Maldini's opener, and he looked a bag of nerves from start to finish. Liverpool famously won on penalties though, and Traore was a European Champion. It still sounds absurd now. The Malian had already won the League Cup at Anfield in 2003, while in 2006 he also became an FA Cup winner after the Steven Gerrard-inspired victory over West Ham. How on earth did Traore win three major pieces of silverware at Liverpool? Let us know your thoughts on the article in the comments section below.Follow Henry on twitter: @HenryJackson87
