10 Footballers You Completely Forgot Played For Liverpool
1. Mauricio Pellegrino
Best remembered in England for spending a year in charge of Southampton, it is so easy to forget that Pelligrino actually donned the Liverpool shirt back in 2005.
Remarkably, he was around the club when they won the Champions League in 2005, despite not being part of the squad due to being cup-tied.
He made less than 15 appearances for the Reds during the course of the campaign before moving to Spain with Alaves and heading into retirement not so long after.
A full Argentina international who made just shy of 150 appearances for Spanish giants Valencia, it's not very often players of this calibre are easily forgotten about at clubs.
There's a question of what might have been for Pellegrino had he moved to the Premier League a few seasons prior as age and injury ultimately caught up with him.
Both his spells in England as both player and manager have not quite panned out, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Pellegrino on a similar list to this when it comes to Southampton managers in the future.
