10 Man City Players Who Should Fear For Their Future

2. Scott Sinclair

''It۪s a great draw. I watched the draw and everyone is looking forward to going out to the Bernabeu. This is why I came here - to play with the best and be in a world-class team. I am just looking forward to playing any games, to be honest. All I can do is try to make an impact.۪۪ - Scott Sinclair, September 2012.
Considering how rarely Scott Sinclair has featured for Manchester City in the last two years since his move from Swansea in 2012, it will probably come as no surprise that he didn€™t even make the bench for that Champions League tie with Real Madrid. He may have stated that he came to City to test himself in Europe€™s elite competition, but for the last couple of years he has been lucky to even be granted a substitute appearance in the Capital One Cup.
''This is probably one of the best pre-seasons I۪ve had because I haven۪t had the minutes I۪m getting now. I feel great, you can see it in the performances. I۪m scoring goals, I۪m getting back to my normal self how I was at Swansea. Pre-season is probably the most important for any footballer to get those games. I feel great and hopefully now I can get more minutes and be ready for the season to see what happens.۪۪ - Scott Sinclair, July 2014.
The 25 year old winger€™s winger optimism was to be short-lived. He has not played a minute of Premier League football this season, being left out of the squad entirely on eight occasions. An 18-minute cameo during a 7-0 thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup has been the only piece of action he has seen since a five-minute outing against Arsenal in the Community Shield three months ago. Penny for his thoughts?
