There is a clear optimism at Turf Moor. No games are easy but winnable games appear to be on the horizon. The Hull and Stoke wins have been a huge boost to morale and spirit. Sometimes even though when a team is at the foot of the table you have to sit back and make a quick list of all the pluses, positives and achievements. From the foot of the table it is all too easy to become pessimistic but consider the progress made in areas all over the club. Consider: the money windfall and financial stability, the stadium improvements, the training ground improvements, the creation of a new European Scouting system, the chance to see world class players at Turf Moor. Turf Moor was selected to host the England versus Portugal U21 game. The club is now in the spotlight; exposure is global. A Premier League place is a boost to the town, to its commerce and trade. The world watches to see if little Burnley can survive. The media loves a David and Goliath story. And clubs in the Championship look at Burnley and see how promotion can be won on a shoestring.
