10 Players Who Thought They Were Bigger Than Newcastle United
6. Loic Remy
Whether Loic Remy genuinely cares who he plays for remains to be seen: the Frenchman is a supremely talented player who made an unfortunate name for himself in choosing QPR over Newcastle for supposedly "footballing reasons", when it was clear what really counted. He then lay in the bed he had made, watching QPR get relegated before signing on loan at Newcastle to rebuild his profile, which he did wonderfully, pretty much saving Newcastle from a relegation battle their early 2014 form deserved. But then when it came to deciding to make a permanent move, Remy turned his back on both QPR and Newcastle, opting to flirt with "bigger" clubs and bigger contracts, turning down Newcastle even when his Liverpool move fell through. And now he's the latest striker to sit on Chelsea's bench, but at least he's happy, eh?
