In five years at Leeds United, striker Luciano Becchio became a cult hero and scored an impressive 87 goals in 221 appearances in all competitions but his success led to wage demands that the Lilywhites could not meet.

It resulted in Becchio leaving the club for Norwich City in January 2013 but while his desire to test himself in the Premier League can be understood, he has endured a nightmare spell in English football ever since leaving Elland Road.

The Argentine made just two starts and 14 substitute appearances at Carrow Road and even a loan spell at Rotherham United was not enough for the attacker to rediscover his touch in front of goal.

He returned to his homeland to play for Belgrano but he was soon back in England after signing for Rotherham on a free transfer. After two substitute appearances though, he has not played another game because of injury and the recent performances of his teammates, and he faces the prospect of being on the move yet again during the summer.
