10 Ridiculous Arguments Against Sacking Alan Pardew

3. Who Else Would Work With Ashley?

He's controlling - a dictator - notoriously tight on the purse strings and will sell all players out from under the manager when the right bids come in: so why would anyone agree to work under Mike Ashley? Well the answer is two fold: firstly, the Newcastle job, by Pardew's admission is a major one, and the opportunity to manage one of the most famous clubs in the league and one of the richest in the world remains huge. And secondly, Ashley is nothing new. Contintental managers are used to being little more than coaches, a significant number of teams (even in Europe) have directors of football, and every player in the world has their price, no matter who they are. Managers would not turn down circumstances that happen every day in the sport around the world.
