Tottenham Hotspur Football Club got their season off to a decent start on Saturday with a 1-0 victory at the Boleyn Ground against West Ham United - a result that avenged three losses against the Hammers last season in all competitions - but they still lacked an obvious cutting edge up front, with neither Emmanuel Adebayor or Harry Kane really threatening the West Ham goal in their respective spells on the pitch. As a result, the club should still be looking to bolster their ranks up top, with the transfer window set to slam shut in less than two weeks.
