10 Strikers Spurs Should Still Be Looking To Sign

2. Jay Rodriguez

Although Jay Rodriguez isn't an out-and-out striker as such, he would certainly provide an extra goal threat for Spurs and the White Hart Lane club have been linked with him this summer.

Rodriguez had a major impact on the Premier League last season, scoring fifteen goals as he formed a deadly strike partnership alongside Rickie Lambert.

A move to Spurs would undoubtedly be a step up for the England striker (he earned his first and only cap to date last season) and at 25 years old it could the kind of move he is looking for to improve his game and cement his place in his national side€™s first eleven.

Rodriguez wouldn't come cheap, but he certainly wouldn't command the astronomical fees that many other strikers would cost, and he has already proven himself in the league that Spurs play in.

Currently injured, he is due back in the next couple of months and would be a very astute signing - especially given that he has already flourished under Mauricio Pochettino's guidance in the Argentinian's time at Southampton.
