10 Strikers Spurs Should Still Be Looking To Sign

1. Wilfried Bony

Wilfried Bony has been a target for Spurs all summer - and that's no surprise at all, given his qualities - and they really shouldn't give up on him just yet. Bony cost Swansea £12 million when he joined from Eredivisie side Vitesse last summer €“ a club for whom he scored 46 goals in 65 league appearances in the Eredivisie. The Ivory Coast star impressed beyond Swansea's wildest expectations upon his arrival, scoring 25 goals in all competitions, sixteen of which came in the Premier League.

It is expected that the striker would cost £20 million if they sold him this summer €“ an £8 million profit for Swansea, who signed Bafétimbi Gomis to ease the blow of Bony€™s potential sale earlier in the current transfer window.

Bony scored twice at this summer's World Cup for the Ivory Coast €“ notching against both Japan and Greece in the group stage €“ and played the first 77 minutes of Swansea's opening day win at Old Trafford. Spurs should move swiftly if they want to sign him. So there you have it - ten strikers that Spurs should still be looking to sign. Did you enjoy this article?
