10 Strikers Who Newcastle Should Sign Instead Of Charlie Austin

4. Giuseppe Rossi

Age: 28 Club: Fiorentina Nationality: Italian Estimated Market Value: £10 million League Apps (2013-14): 21 League Goals (2013-14): 16 Who wouldn't like to see him back at St James' Park? Giuseppe Rossi suffered a knee injury during Fiorentina's pre-season in 2014 and it kept him out of the entire 2014-15 season. The previous year he was phenomenal and scored 16 goals in 21 games for the Italian side. Since appearing for the Magpies in 2006 on loan from Manchester United, Rossi has matured into a player with unquestionable world-class ability. He has 30 senior international caps for Italy and has scored 99 goals in 217 games at club level. Aged only 28, the striker has a lot more to offer and, for around £10 million, could complete his unfinished business at Newcastle United (where he failed to score in 11 games last time out) If you were to offer me a proven international goalscorer with a host of European experience (for a cheaper fee) or a man who had one good season in the Premier League then I'm choosing the former every time.
