John Carver and Steve Stone have not been seen at Newcastle since their respective sackings earlier this summer, and Toon supporters had surely wondered where exactly they had gotten to. Thankfully just observing in the crowd - Carver was the late Gary Speed's assistant at Bramall Lane for a period, so he coached Chris Morgan - and not barking instructions from the touchline, the duo made their first public appearances of the season. Newcastle fans will be relieved to know that they will not be sitting in the home dugout at St James' Park in the forthcoming Premier League campaign, however...
