10 Worst Ever Penalty Misses

1. Peter Devine Vs Whitley Bay

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-Ek5LgWKjM "What? A penalty kick worse than Robert Pires' effort?" I hear you ask. Yes, astonishingly, there has been a worse penalty kick than that of the Frenchman's. But you have to go all the way back to 1991 to find it. Lancaster City were playing Whitley Bay when Lancaster were awarded a spot-kick. Up stepped Peter Devine who apparently forgot how to kick a ball. Instead of smashing it home he ended up running into the ball before dribbling it a few yards toward goal. If the ball ends up closer to the penalty spot than the back of the net, then something has gone horribly, horribly wrong. There you have it, ten of the worst ever spot kicks - can you think of any we might have missed? Share your thoughts in the comment section, below.
