10 Youth Prospects Who Could Change Arsenal's Future
7. Jon Toral
Signed along with Hector Bellerin, Jon Toral isn't the first talented young midfielder Arsenal have lured from the grasp of Barcelona, and was among the six players who have swapped the Nou Camp for North London in total. He is a utility midfielder in the sense that he is capable of playing across multiple positions in midfield - a kay aspect in attracting Wenger's attention traditionally - and, along with his technical competence, has the physical presence necessary for English football. He also attracts comparisons to Santi Cazorla in the way he plays anywhere in the middle of the park and he has a knack of retaining possession through skilful footwork or passing. The midfielder arrived at Barcelona in 2004, but after his 16th birthday in 2011 agreed professional terms with Arsenal, where he has impressed both with his goal scoring and vision, leading also to inevitable comparisons to a certain Cesc Fabregas.
I have been described as a sportsman with the brain of an athlete and the body of a scientist. Since it was established that playing wouldn't work out for me I have taken to writing.
