11 Most Intriguing Revelations From Newcastle Fans' Forum

2. Not All The Press Are Still Banned

The banned press seem to like to reiterate the fact that local and national press were still banned, seeking outrage from fans, but that doesn't seem to be the case. There was already suggestion that Luke Edwards of the Telegraph had been unbanned (because he was subsequently re-banned), and now it seems to have been confirmed that some bans have lapsed. When asked about a specific banned reporter (surely Edwards, since he was banned last and most memorably), the club said the ban had been lifted after "professional, private conversations." The Chronicle clearly remain banned - as a question relating to them led to the suggestion that the club had made its stance on the Chronicle very clear and that representatives should therefore stop asking about it in meetings. Translation The Chronicle will be banned indefinitely until something changes - but there's a way back for others who end up banned. Good news.
