The 2013 Fans Forum laid out the debts owed to Mike Ashley, and this forum again asked about any money allocated to be taken out of the club by Ashley. Reiterating the fact that he paid an emergency loan of £29m following relegation, the club stated that £11m had already been paid, and that the rest would be paid soon, as the 2013 accounts stated they would be payable within a year. Translation Loans will be repaid. It's not rocket science. That £18m is a loan, and not a gift, no matter what the nature of the club's ownership.
