10. The Dress Code

We're not sure what, if anything, can be read into this but it was a pretty weird situation all the same. Fabricio Coloccini, Tim Krul, Steven Taylor, Mehdi Abeid and Remy Cabella were all inside the International Stadium but took a seat on the bench having not been named in the match day squad. Colo, Krul and Tayls were all dressed in club tracksuits but Messrs Abeid and Cabella were wearing their everyday civilian wear. The Frenchman, who bundled into the group around 15 minutes before kick off in his orange Audi, sported a rather fetching hat... By all accounts, Coloccini, Krul and Abeid were fit and ready for selection while Taylor's road to recovery continues. Cabella reportedly picked up a knock in training. We have no idea the significance of this but it was just a little bit weird to see. We can only guess that we'll learn more as pre season rolls on.
