15 Most Shockingly Underpaid Footballers

5. David Alaba

Wage: £40,000

It€™s not as if Bayern Munich don€™t have the money. David Alaba€™s agent might argue that wing wizards Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben both pocket £165k on a weekly basis, mightily dwarfing the measly £40k his client brings home each week. Even bench-warmer Claudio Pizarro makes more than twice as much as the Austrian Player of the Year. It€™s not as if the 22 year old is an unwanted reserve at the Allianz Arena. Last season, the Austrian left-back/midfielder played one game shy of 50 games for Pep Guardiola€™s side in all competitions - a stat that he might have felt warranted a bumper contract. Perhaps it's time to ask for a raise, Dave.
