5 Heroes (And 5 Villains) From Club Atlas 2-1 Newcastle
3. Jack Colback
Newcastle's all-round lacklustre first-half display means that very few - if any - of the Magpies could not be considered culpable for the Magpies' sluggish opening 45 minutes, but Jack Colback showed glimpses of leadership during NUFC's shakiest moments. Handed the captain's armband for the second match in a row as a result of Fabricio Coloccini's continued absence due to injury, Colback kept the midfield ticking over in possession with some neat passes, even if he did disappear slightly in a defensive sense. Booked for a late challenge in the second-half, Colback worked tirelessly throughout as he attempted to haul Newcastle back into the game and almost equalised with a shot from the edge of the area that just went past the far post. He has had - and will have - better days in a Newcastle jersey, but he was still one of the Magpies' best performers on the night.
