5 Heroes (And 5 Villains) From Club Atlas 2-1 Newcastle

4. Vurnon Anita

The early pre-season evidence suggests that Vurnon Anita's once-in-a-lifetime display against West Ham United in the final game of 2014-15 was just that - and that he won't be reaching such dizzy heights again anytime soon. A technically-proficient player, Anita should in theory be thriving under Steve McClaren and Ian Cathro's new passing-style game, but the embryonic indications are that he is struggling to adapt to this fresh philosophy. He was caught in possession on far-too many occasions against FC Atlas, and he also failed to impose himself on the opposition or dictate play with the ball at his feet. Anita really needs to offer a lot more in the coming weeks if he wants to nail down a starting berth for the beginning of the Premier League season.
