5 Premier League Players Who Should Return To Former Clubs

1. Fernando Torres

People are instantly going to assume I am saying Torres should return to Liverpool, I€™m not. There is no way FSG would sanction a move for a 29-year-old on a reported £250,000 a week. I€™m saying Torres should return €˜home€™, to Atletico Madrid. Fernando Torres is still a good striker; he just isn€™t a £50 million striker. He needs to get as far away from that price tag as possible, so that means leaving Chelsea. While he is still at Stamford Bridge he will always be compared to that price tag. By the way Jose Mourinho is speaking; Torres€™ Chelsea days seem numbered anyway. With Demba Ba, Romelu Lukaku and a big money striker signing to compete with for one slot in the team, game time might be hard to come by for Torres. Atletico Madrid are on the lookout for a striker after selling Radamel Falcao. Alvaro Negredo looks likely to come in but there would still be room for Torres. Manager Diego Simeone has already spoken of his admiration for the Spanish striker and the Madrid fans still cherish him. A move away from the Premier League is exactly what El Nino needs. Get away from a country and a league which reminds him how much he cost every day, a clean slate, and a fresh start.
