5 Reasons Steve Bruce Will Fail At Aston Villa

1. Has Steve Bruce Been Seduced By The Size Of The Club And Forgotten The Size Of The Job?

It’s funny the way Aston Villa are talked about by people in the media. Let’s be honest here, the club have been in a real mess for several years now. However, the focus on a lot of discussion usually focuses on their past success as a steady team in the top six of the Premier League.

It has been a long time since those days though and currently the club find themselves in the bottom half of the Championship. Nevertheless, managers are constantly attracted to the job based on the history. It certainly seemed that was the case when Paul Lambert made the strange switch from Norwich City to Villa.

Equally, Steve Bruce had joined the club and talked a lot about the history and size of the stadium. All of which counts for very little right now in a very competitive league. The big question remains on how much Bruce has considered the size of the task rather than focus purely on the potential for him if he is successful.
