5 Ways Celtic Can Beat Malmo And Qualify For Champions League

1. Keep Scott Brown On The Pitch

Whilst there will arguably be better footballers in the Celtic starting line-up for this crucial match, no player in the team is likely to have a bigger influence on whether or not Celtic qualify than captain Scott Brown. He brings more drive and determination in his performance than most and just his mere presence on the pitch always seems to inspire his teammates to play better.

You only have to look back at this last week or so to see the impact Brown’s name being on the team sheet has on Celtic’s performance. With Brown out injured for Celtic last Wednesday night they put in arguably their poorest performance and only managed a 2-2 draw with a Kilmarnock team that they should have beaten comfortably.

Brown then returned on Saturday for the match against Inverness and inspired a comfortable 4-2 victory. It is worth noting that in this match Celtic were 3-0 up when Brown was substituted off and it was some sloppy defending in their skipper's absence that resulted in Inverness outscoring Celtic  in the last half hour of the match.

If Celtic want to qualify for the Champions League they will need Broony on the pitch pushing his fellow players on for the full 90 minutes in both legs.
