1. Carver Still Believes He Can Be Newcastle Manager Again One Day
For all Newcastle supporters who are still wavering about whether or not the Magpies hierarchy were right to completely sever all ties with John Carver, rather than just move him to a position in the backroom staff once more, then this statement could well convince you. When asked about whether or not he could one day manage his boyhood club again, Carver told The Telegraph:
"Why can't, in the future, I go away, be successful and return to Newcastle as manager under different circumstances? "I've been back to the football club a few times and it would be a great story to do so again."
No John, unfortunately it really wouldn't... Newcastle fans do not want a repeat of last season ever again - and Carver's managerial reputation will forever be tarnished on Tyneside by those diabolical five months in charge.
