8 Frank Lampard Goals Chelsea Fans Will Never Forget

2. Chelsea 2 Everton 1, Wembley Stadium: May 30, 2009

Since the Russian revolution began at the Bridge back in 2003, nine managers have taken their place on the bench as the man in charge. Some have been successful, some not so, but during each period of time one man has consistently produced the goods. In the 2009 F.A Cup final, that man turned on the style once more, stepping up to the plate to ensure that his side would leave Wembley Stadium with yet another trophy. With the game on delicately poised and looking like heading to extra time, Lampard hit a stunning strike that left everyone stunned. After initially mis controlling a pass from Germany international Michael Ballack and then loosing his footing, Lampard turned Phil Neville with apparent ease, hitting the ball sweetly past Tim Howard. Over the course of his career, Lampard has been praised for his ability to pop up on the edge of the area and score a goal and this final was no different. With just 18 minutes left of the match, Lampard's 30 yard piledriver came from nowhere, rescuing his side from defeat. His goal meant that Guus Hiddink, Chelsea coach at the time, left London with the fans admiration and continued the clubs rise as one of the most successful teams in English football. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2eY3Uw_HS0
