Newcastle United's skipper has failed to show his captaincy skills in recent months - and he must steer the Magpies to Premier League survival by leading from the back if he is to save his reputation. Having first flirted with a move back to boyhood club San Lorenzo in Argentina in January 2013, Coloccini has made no secret of his desire to return there one day - and his gaze seems to have been diverted as a result. In fact, Coloccini managed to get himself suspended for three games by sending in a rash challenge on Everton's Aaron Lennon in March - just at the time when Newcastle really needed leadership. His last two matches have seen the Magpies ship three goals on each occasion, and Coloccini must stand up and be counted in the last four matches. At the moment, he isn't justifying his position in the team, never mind as their captain - and he must prove his undoubted ability before the season is out to secure Newcastle's Premier League status.
