9 Terrible Swansea City Signings That Utterly Failed

8. Vangelis Moras

When you think Vangelis, you think Chariots of Fire, you think Blade Runner, you think "successful", "cutting edge" and "cool", but Vangelis Moras was none of these things. Unlike his compatriot sharing his first name, Vangelis Moras was a last minute purchase to flesh out our maiden Premier League squad under Brendan Rodgers. The Greek international was part of the Greece squad that was at the 2010 World Cup and was named in this years 2014 World Cup too. The performances that warranted his inclusion certainly weren't the little that came at Swansea. Delays in international clearance meant Swansea fans were left waiting to see this "maestro" in defence but when he did make his solitary, four minute, there was nothing he could do stop Jamie O'Hara help Wolves recover a two goal deficit to claim a point at Molineux. Moras left the club a few months later.
