Alan Pardew: 4 Moments Of Madness From Newcastle Boss

4. Alan v Managers

When Man City rocked up to face an in form Newcastle in January this year, there was optimism on Tyneside that Pardew's men would be able to get a result against City's millionaires. The Magpies had enjoyed a superb first half of their campaign and confidence was high in the Newcastle dressing room. Pardew must have been delighted when an outrageous effort from Cheick Tiote drew his side level towards the end of the first half. A real screaming effort from outside the area had the fans out of their seats, however it was controversially ruled offside as Gouffran was deemed to be obstructing Joe Hart's view. The peculiar refereeing decision must have got the better of Alan's good natured side and he lashed out at the first person he could set eyes on, the victim being poor old Manuel Pellegrini. The ice cool Chilean probably didn't need Pardew's foul mouthed tirade translated to him as they squared up on the touchline. In Manuel's defence he isn't even that much older than Pardew, only 8 years separates the two managers. However, it probably wasn't that part of Alan's insult which he found offensive.
