Unfortunately Pardew managed to provide the programme's most memorable highlight. Whilst casting his keen eye over the Chelsea v Man City match he remarked that Michael Essien had 'absolutely raped' an opponent in a challenge. The comments unsurprisingly sparked a media storm and the BBC confirmed that they had received 35 complaints about the incident. With such an impressive back catalogue of madness other managers will really have to up their game in the coming months and years to keep up with Alan's work.
