4. Patrice Evra Looks Like He Doesn't Want To Play For The Club
Time after time, United left back Patrice Evra failed to close down his opposition and allowed them to cross the ball into the box. Though Nemanja Vidic, Chris Smalling and Rio Ferdinand may be tall defenders capable of heading the ball out, Olivier Giroud's aerial ability is nothing to be scoffed at. To add to this, at times Evra was slow when tracking back after an attack from United and it seemed like he simply didn't want to be there. With rumours aplenty of a departure for the former France captain, including clubs from his native land such as Paris St-Germain and Monaco linked with bids, he may well be unhappy under Moyes. He performed way below the standard accustomed to him, and is lucky that his lapses in concentration weren't costly. With Fabio leaving for Cardiff and Alexander Buttner playing poorly when featuring for the club, Moyes is left with no choice but to play Evra, but may look to replace him in the summer. Eliaquim Mangala, Luke Shaw and Filipe Luis were all linked with the club in January, and Moyes may pursue one of these in the upcoming window.
