Arsenal Transfers: 10 Dream Signings Wenger Still Needs To Make
5. Javier Hernandez
The spritely Mexican has been out of favour at Manchester United for the last two seasons and he will likely be available in the very near future, with Newcastle United linked with an unlikely move. And though he is little more than a glorified outcast at Old Trafford, his goalscoring record speaks for itself: 59 goals in 152 appearances for Manchester United - the majority of which were cameo appearances from the bench for 20 minutes - and 36 goals in 65 for Mexico. The small striker is the perfect 'fox in the box' that Arsenal fans have been waiting to see since the spectacularly poor signing of Francis Jeffers. While there is no chance of him taking Giroud's role as the target man, he would be the perfect second striker, feeding off the bigger man's scraps and popping up in the box at just the right moment. Hernandez is technically superb: his control, passing and vision have been underrated at Manchester United and given the opportunity to use his speed and lethal finishing, he could be one of the best strikers in the world.
I have been described as a sportsman with the brain of an athlete and the body of a scientist. Since it was established that playing wouldn't work out for me I have taken to writing.
