Arsenal Transfers: 5 Strikers Arsene Wenger Could Sign In January

3. Michu

The fact that Michu picked up his first cap for Spain in the recent international break demonstrates how highly regarded the Swansea striker is. Following his move to Wales last summer, the 27 year old has taken the Premier League by storm. The Spaniard finished last season with 22 goals in 43 games in all competitions. The Swans' number 9 also played a pivotal role in helping the side lift the Captial One Cup, netting three goals in six games during the successful cup run. Michu would certainly fit the 'Arsenal Way'. He is very comfortable on the ball and is one of the most technically gifted strikers in the league. The Spaniard is more than capable of leading the line on his own, as he did last season. However, he has also shown that he is equally effective as a second striker. Michu's link up play with new signing Wilfred Bony demonstrates that the Spaniard could play alongside Olivier Giroud, a prospect that would no doubt excite many Arsenal fans. Persuading the Swans to part with their star man could be a stumbling block for Arsenal, with the club continually claiming he is not for sale. There's further difficulty in that the Welsh club value the attacker at £30 million.
