Arsenal: Worst Ever Premier League 11

Right-Back: Oleg Luzhny

olegl This was an extremely difficult choice, because quite frankly Arsenal full-backs have often been the most consistent players in the entire span of the Premier League. Some people will question this choice, sometimes I question this myself. But unfortunately for Oleg, Arsenal have had too many good players in this position. Arguably players like Justin Hoyte had potential and just slipped away without a trace, but in four years at the club Luzhny was always the second-fiddle, which is why he's on this list. It's not hard to see why it was difficult for Luzhny to break into the first-team more regularly than he did. Even in the twilight of his career, Lee Dixon was still the first choice right-back when Luzhny joined in 1999, and always appeared to be more energetic and attack-minded than the Ukrainian. Nobody should take away the fact that he played 110 games for Arsenal in four years, and won five major trophies with the club. But, when Dixon retired, and Luzhny was expected to step up, he was shunned in favour of the pacy and talented Lauren, who played an integral part in Arsenal being unbeaten in 2004. As for Luzhny, he spent a season at Wolves before moving back to Ukraine where he is now a manager. It saddens me to put him in this list, but their wasn't a great deal of competition. Other contenders:Justin Hoyte, Sebastian Svard
