Bayer Leverkusen vs Man Utd - How Red Devils Should Line Up
Centre-Back - Rio Ferdinand
Rio Ferdinand has spent a considerable amount of time out of the Manchester United side in recent weeks, the game against Cardiff on Sunday marking only his first Premier League start since September 28. Injury also meant he missed the clash with Real Sociedad in the Champions League, but he looks set to play a key role at the heart of United's defence against Leverkusen once more after returning last weekend. With the likes of Phil Jones out of action, the veteran former England international will likely be pressed into action for a second consecutive game for the first time in two months. The alternative is Jonny Evans, who started alongside Ferdinand against Cardiff, but with Nemanja Vidic set to make his return from concussion, I expect the northern Irishman to drop out of the side.
