10. Jonas Gutierrez

Current Club: Newcastle It's a shame, but the extensive rebuilding campaign that has gone on at Newcastle this summer has meant that one of the club's longest serving veterans - Jonas Gutierrez - has been effectively put out to pasture prematurely. For some reason the club seem unwilling to release him from his contract, but the winger - affectionately known as Spider-Man - has been training alone in Argentina and isn't expected to trouble the first team picture at all this season, having spent time out at Norwich on loan last year. Unfortunately for him, that deal didn't turn into something permanent as the Canaries were relegated, but he would still do a very good job in the SPL. The Argentinian midfielder might not have the pace he used to, but his work ethic remains very good, and with his experience, he would be a very good, very affordable option to offer some hard-work, tenacity and vision to the team, which will be necessary should the club progress to the group stages of the Champions League.
