Chelsea: 5 Youngsters That Will Shine This Season

3. Oscar

After establishing himself in the Chelsea makeup last season their is only improvement in sight for this Brazilian international midfielder. Oscar is a special talent and is so often seen floating around the midfield creating a number of goal-scoring opportunities for his team-mates. Where the 21 year-old can improve in the 2013/14 season is in his goal return. Oscar only scored four times for Chelsea in the league and for his side to narrow the gap on the Manchester clubs then he will need to hit double figures for the campaign. Mourinho sees Oscar as his preferred Number 10, according to Tribal Football, and can emerge as one of the best bob-to-box midfielders in the Premier League. You see, for mine, one of the best attributes in Oscar is that he doesn't forget his defensive responsibilities. In the 2012/13 campaign, Oscar was accredited with 82 tackles compared to a combined 53 for Eden Hazard and Juan Mata and also had 32 defensive clearances to their 8 ... and all of this whilst having had seven fewer league starts! He is a special footballer and only grew from his performances in the successful Brazilian Confederations Cup campaign and their is no doubt in my mind that he will continue to shine this season.
