5. Florent Malouda Has Never Met Benitez, Will He Finally Leave?
Rafael Benitez has been the interim manager at Chelsea for 63 days now, and outcast winger Florent Malouda has never met him. The Frenchman has not played a single competitive game for Chelsea all season after being phased out by Roberto Di Matteo and Benitez was also happy to keep him out in the cold when he took over the reins at the Bridge. The issue regarding Malouda surrounds the fact that he was told last summer that he was free to leave the club, though the move away failed to materialise, leaving Chelsea with an unwanted player.
Likelihood? The likelihood of Malouda leaving is very high. He has been training with the reserve team this season and wasn't even included in the 25-man Premier League squad for this season. Chelsea haven't received any interest in the player however, and are even prepared to let him leave for nothing this month.
