1. Jose Mourinho To Take Over From Benitez?
News broke yesterday that former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been staying in regular contact with Roman Abramovic as well as senior players and staff via text messages, sparking rumours that the "Special One" could be set for a remarkable return to the Bridge after leaving by "mutual consent" back in 2007. Several players remain from the Mourinho era however, such as John Terry, Frank Lampard, Petr Cech and Ashley Cole, and some are believed to keep in regular contact with the Portuguese boss. Mourinho is set to leave Real Madrid after huge fall-outs with the club hierarchy and key players according to reports.
Likelihood? Rafael Benitez is unlikely to be handed the Chelsea job on a permanent basis and considering Pep Guardiola is no longer in the frame, Jose Mourinho would seem the ideal candidate to replace him.
