Club-by-Club Premier League Record Appearance Makers

Who says there's no loyalty left in football?

The 23rd season of the Barclay's Premier League has begun in earnest with the first two rounds of fixtures done and dusted. Since its inception in 1992, the league has borne witness to some of England's finest talents, and has helped turn academy-graduate rookies into club legends over the last two decades. A fresh-faced Ryan Wilson was just cutting his teeth as a professional footballer when Greg Dyke met with the representatives of the "big five" football clubs in England to propose an overhaul of the Football League in 1990, and since then the Welshman has gone on to become Manchester United's all-time record appearance maker as the Premier League has flourished into the behemoth that it is today. Careers have been made by the Premiership - some have used it as a launching pad to catapult themselves into other top leagues throughout Europe while others have enjoyed their stay so much that they've opted to spend their entire careers plying their trades in England's top tier, earning cult-status in Britain as a result. And here, we honour those who did decide to stay long enough in the Premier League to leave a lasting legacy be becoming their respective club's all-time record appearance makers, like that aforementioned Ryan Wilson who today goes by the name Ryan Giggs. Here then is a club-by-club guide to the Premier League's record appearance makers.
