Crystal Palace 1-0 West Ham: Premier League Player Ratings

Crystal Palace

Julian Speroni: Made the odd punch. Held a Downing free kick well, but not worked often enough by West Ham. 6/10.

Joel Ward: Put one decent cross in early on, but no takers. Tried his luck from range, but shot blocked. Part of a back four that kept a rare clean sheet. 6/10. Danny Gabbidon: Wales defender played well against his former club. 6.5/10. Damien Delaney: Took one for the team and a booking for a foul on Morrison. Blocked Downing's strike just before half time, and that was important. Nice to see him back in the side. 6.5/10. Dean Moxey: Took a big chance in his own box early on, but recovered and clear. A good display otherwise. 6.5/10. Jason Puncheon: Saw a low shot saved by Jaaskelainen. Collins blocked his goalbound second half effort. Never really happened for him. Subbed. 5/10. Kagisho Dikgacoi: Free header sailed over at 1-0. Shot later in second half went straight at Jaaskelainen. Energetic and full of endeavour in midfield. 6/10. Mile Jedinak: Palace captain played well in midfield, but is effective only to a point going forward. Only committed one silly foul. 6.5/10. Barry Bannan: Curled over when he attempted a cross-shot after he swapped wings with Puncheon. Assist for Chamakh goal. Second ball deliveries better. Subbed, but our man of the match. 7/10. Cameron Jerome: Worked Jaaskelainen one on one, but should have scored. 5.5/10. Marouane Chamakh: Close range header gave Palace the lead. Worked hard, but out of the game for long spells still. Subbed. 6/10. Subs: Jimmy Kebe: Given 25 minutes off the bench and fired just over in stoppage time with Jaaskelainen off his line. 5.5/10. Stuart O'Keefe: Came on for final 10 minutes when Pulis went to shut up shop. Rating N/A. Jonathan Williams: Like O'Keefe the talented youngster came on late. Rating N/A.
