2. Avram Grant
The former Chelsea manager is yet another coach out of work and in with a shot of the Crystal Palace job. The Israeli is better remembered for his unpopular, near-one-year stay with the Blues after being instated as Jose Mourinho's successor back in 2007. Fans failed to take to Grant in the immediate aftermath of the "Special One's" shocking departure, however, successes came, such as a thumping 6-0 win over Manchester City as well as an appearance at the 2008 League Cup Final. Grant also memorably took Chelsea to the 2008 Champions League Final, where they lost out to Manchester United in what has since become one of the most-talked about finals in the competition's history. Despite this, his contract was still terminated at Stamford Bridge, and he went on to manage such sides as Portsmouth and West Ham United, taking the former side to the FA Cup Final in 2010. Grant also memorably took West Ham to their first League Cup semi-finals for the first time since the 198990 season in November 2010, after beating Manchester United 4-0 in the quarter-finals. Having managed three Premier League side's with varying levels of success, there are very few who could argue against Grant's possible appointment at Selhurst Park. Grant's last managerial job was with Partizan Belgrade, and, after guiding them to their fifth consecutive Serbian championship, resigned in May 2012, making him a free agent.
