Everton 2-3 West Ham - 6 Things We Learned

1. Slaven Bilic€™s Attacking Gameplan Paid Off

Heading into the break at one-nil down, Bilic took a chance and set up his side to attack Everton in the second period. It paid off. Throwing on striker Andy Carroll for young defender Reece Oxford was a gamble, given the threat Everton and Lukaku pose on the break, but Bilic€™s decision to take the fight to the Blues is what ultimately secured three points for a resilient West Ham. Throwing on Sakho for Emenike was another masterstroke that helped the Hammers exploit their numerical advantage. The rest was down to a never-say-die attitude, Payet, and his manager€™s insistence on a style of play where players like him can thrive.
