Fantasy Premier League 2018-19 Tips: 10 Defenders You Must Sign
2. Kieran Trippier (Spurs)
One of the best full backs at the World Cup and one of the tournament's most creative players too, Kieran Trippier is definitely one of the top players to watch in the coming Premier League season. His Tottenham career took a little while to get going and he only made 18 league appearances over the course of his first two seasons, but Trippier must now be regarded as an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino's side.
The 27-year-old only made 24 league appearances last season but still amassed a super total of 113 fantasy points thanks to his impressive tally of seven assists. He only got better over the summer and excelled as England's most creative player at the World Cup, even scoring a stunning free kick in the Three Lions' doomed semi-final clash with Croatia.
He'll still have to compete with Serge Aurier for game time but his performances in Russia should have done enough to seal down a spot in the starting eleven for the foreseeable future, and if he maintains his World Cup form, Trippier will definitely justify his £6m fantasy price tag and could turn out to be one of the very best fantasy defenders of the year.
